Crankshaft Position Sensor






Crankshaft Position Sensor

• The crankshaft sensor is located on the driver side of the vehicle, above the differential housing. The bottom of the sensor sits above the drive plate.

Removing







When disconnecting sensor electrical connector, do not pull directly on harness connector wires. Damage to the harness connector and/or wires may occur.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor (1).

- Remove the CKP sensor bolt and sensor (1).

Installing






- Install the CKP sensor (1) and bolt. Tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (106 in lbs).

- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor (1).

- Connect the negative battery cable.
