Ignition System: Service and Repair






Ignition Capacitor

• The ignition capacitor is located on the drivers side of the engine.

Removing








- Disconnect the negative battery cable.

- Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the capacitor (2).

- Remove the capacitor bolt (1) and capacitor (2).

Installing






- Install the ignition capacitor (2) and bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 28 Nm (21 ft lbs).

- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the capacitor (2).

- Connect the negative battery cable.
