Multifunction Steering Wheel Control Module (J453)

Removing and installing the buttons on the right and left sides is identical.

Removing

- Remove the airbag unit on the driver side.

- Remove the bolts - arrow -.






- Remove the block of buttons.

- Disconnect the connector - arrow - from the button block.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Make sure to route the wires between both blocks of buttons as illustrated - arrows -.






• Make sure the black connector is connected to the left block of buttons - arrow -.






- Steering column electronic control module (J527) , coding, refer to => [ Multifunction Steering Wheel, Adapting Components ] Testing and Inspection.
