Ignition Switch Key Lock Solenoid (N376)

The ignition switch key lock solenoid must be mounted next to the ignition/starter switch.

To remove the ignition key in vehicles with a DSG transmission, move the selector lever into the "P" position and then switch off the ignition. Otherwise, the ignition switch key lock solenoid prevents the key from being removed!

Removal

- Remove the steering column trim.

- Release the latching mechanism - 2 - with a suitable screwdriver.






- Pull the ignition switch key lock solenoid - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow - out of its mount.

- During this, harness connector is simultaneously disconnected.

Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
