Steering Lock Housing

Follow the specified sequence when removing and installing steering column switch components. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

• To remove the steering lock housing, remove the steering column switch base carrier first.

• Steering lock may be destroyed.

• If steering lock is operated without lock cylinder, it locks and must be replaced.

• Steering lock must not be operated without lock cylinder.

Removal

- Disconnect battery. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the steering column switch base carrier. Refer to => [ Steering Column Combination Switch (E595) ] Steering Column Combination Switch (E595).
