Driver Window Regulator Switch

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

Removal

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trims, etc.), use commercially available adhesive tape to mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned.

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Carefully pry the upper section of the grip shell - 1 - out of door trim using the (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.






- Release and disconnect all harness connectors - arrows - and remove the upper section of the grip shell.






- Open the corresponding retaining tabs - arrows - and remove the switches - 1 -, - 2 - and - 3 - from the upper section of the grip shell.






• - 1 - - Left rear window regulator switch in driver door (E53) and Right rear window regulator switch in driver door (E55)

• - 2 - - Left front window regulator switch (E40) and Right front power window switch in driver door (E81)

• - 3 - - Central window regulator switch in driver door (E189)

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
