Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve, Checking


• Follow the guidelines when working on the fuel system. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Safety Precautions.

• Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

• Always follow these rules before and during work.

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove the noise insulation from the injectors.

- Disconnect the fuel return line - 1 -.






- Seal the open return line connection with a plug - 1 -.






- Connect the return line - 2 - with a hose - 3 -.

- Hold this hose - 1 - inside a suitable container - 2 - in order to measure the return quantity.






- Start the engine and let it run at idle.

• Target value after 30 seconds: Return quantity: 100 milliliters (mL)

If the specified value is not attained, then the fuel pressure regulator valve is faulty.
