Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module (J764)

The procedure => [ Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module, With KESSY Replacing ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics must be performed each time before removing the electronic steering column lock control module to read the stored data.

The electronic steering column lock control module and the steering column switch mount are removed and installed together.


Always follow the instructions regarding disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Code the new electronic steering column lock control module after installing it. Refer to => [ Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module, With KESSY Replacing ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

Removing

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting ] Battery, Disconnecting.

- Remove the steering column switch base carrier. Refer to=> [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Valeo or => [ Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal ] Steering Column Switch Mount, Kostal.
