Battery Test with Vehicle Diagnosis Tester-

The battery (A) can also be checked with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 while it is installed and without being connected to a battery charger.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051

Test Prerequisites

• No battery charger connected

• The battery (A) is connected.

• Battery temperature is at least +10 °C.

Procedure

- the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 Connect, refer to => [ Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems (Vehicle Diagnostic Tester) ] Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems (Vehicle Diagnostic Tester).

- Select Guided Fault Finding.

- Use the GO TO button to select the "function/component selection" and the following menu options one after the other:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems

• 61 - battery monitoring

- Follow the instructions in the display.
