Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519)

The vehicle electrical system control module is located under the instrument panel inside the footwell on the driver side.

• Perform code vehicle electrical system control module first if replacing the control module. Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519), Coding ] Programming and Relearning.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the knee airbag and its mount.

- Remove the air duct inside the driver footwell.

- Push the retainer - arrow - downward and remove the vehicle electrical system control module - 1 -. Pay attention to the wires still connected.






• The number of multi-pin connectors on the vehicle electrical system control module will vary depending on the vehicle equipment level.

- Disconnect the all the connectors and remove the vehicle electrical system control module.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the vehicle electrical system control module - 1 - first into the upper guide - 2 - and then latch it into the lower retainer - 3 -.
