Engine Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Speed Sensor G28

• The engine speed sensor is installed behind the oil filter housing. An opening is present in the oil filter housing so that the engine speed sensor can be removed.

Installed location of the engine speed sensor harness connector: at the oil dipstick guide tube - arrow -.






Removing

- Disconnect the engine speed sensor connector - arrow -.






- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the engine speed sensor wire downward through the opening in the oil filter housing - arrow -.






- Remove the bolt - A -.






- Remove the engine speed sensor downward.

Installing

- Insert the engine speed sensor from below and secure it.

- Route the engine speed sensor wire upward through the opening in the oil filter housing - arrow -.






- Further installation is performed in reverse order.
