Removal

1. Remove distributor cap high tension leads, then the distributor cap.
2. Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation until rotor points towards rubber grommet.
3. Disconnect wiring connector, then remove distributor hold-down bolt.
4. Remove distributor.

Installation

1. Rotate distributor shaft until longer end of distributor drive gear retaining pin is opposite of groove cut in distributor body.
2. Install distributor, then loosely install hold-down bolt.
3. Connect wiring connector, then install rotor, distributor cap and high tension leads.
4. Check ignition timing and correct as necessary. Refer to ``Inline 4 Cylinder Engine Tune Up'' for procedure.
