Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

Fig. 180a RESET BUTTON:

- Locate the mileage counter. A small speedometer cable runs from the back of the speedometer head to the black colored mileage counter, two red wires also go to the mileage counter from the back of instrument cluster. Remove the small retaining screw holding reset button cover to the mileage counter. Reset button is the large brass button.

NOTE: Many vehicles will have the mileage counter missing or disconnected, these vehicles should not require service indicator lamp resetting as the indicator lamp will be inoperative. Reactivation of service indicator lamp system is optional.
