Distributor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove bolts from sensor plate brackets.
2. Remove bolts from intake manifold "Y" pipe.
3. Raise center section of intake manifold approximately 1 inch.
4. Turn engine to TDC #! and line up rotor with index mark on distributor housing.
5. Remove distributor cap and rotor.
6. Remove distributor hold-down nut.
7. Remove distributor.

INSTALLATION
1. Install distributor with rotor aligned with index mark.
2. Install hold-down nut and secure.
3. Re-install rotor and distributor cap.
4. Re-install intake manifold "Y" pipe using new gaskets and O-rings.
5. Re-install and tighten bolts in sensor plate bracket.
