THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS APPLICABLE TO THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS


Replacement of complete speedometer in the event of a broken reset button is no longer necessary and will not be accepted under the new car warranty.

The reset button is now available as a spare part P/N 1347806-0 and should be used to repair the existing speedometer using the following procedure.


* Remove the speedometer from the instrument panel; according to Service Manual 3:73.

* Pull back the release mechanism, remove the broken assembly and clip on the replacement part.

* Check the tension on the assembly. If excessive, bend the clear tab to lessen the tension to reduce any further breakage.
