INSTALLATION OF CRUISE CONTROL
THIS BULLETIN IS APPLICABLE TO THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS
1985 740's are prewired to accept the installation of cruise control. To ensure the satisfactory operation of both the shift indicator system and the cruise control, connect the pedal switches as outlined.
^ Remove the SB/W wire from connector A, install the BL-R jumper wire into Connector A and hook to the brake pedal switch.
^ Remove the SB/W wire from connector B, leave the SB wire in the connector and tape the connector out of the way.
^ Hook the SB/W wire from the cruise harness to the clutch pedal switch along with the BL-R jumper wire you installed on the brake pedal switch.
^ Using a scotch lock connect the SB/W wire for the shift indicator to the SB/W wire for the cruise control.
