Introduction

Several months ago the "Watch Your Savings" Free Factory Scheduled Maintenance incentive program was introduced for certain 1992 Model Year vehicles.

This program introduced a major change from previous programs concerning claim administration and reimbursement, by using Volvo Cars of North America's Claim Processing system.

Since then we have reviewed the possibility of utilizing the Claim Processing system for reimbursement to include older maintenance programs.

Effective October 15, 1992, claims for the "Safety Value" Free Factory Scheduled Maintenance program will also be administered by the Warranty Processing Department.

Please note the following requirements to ensure a smooth transitional period:

^ Claims for "Safety Value" Free-Factory Scheduled Maintenance must be submitted on or after October 15, 1992, using a standard "W" claim form through D.C.S. or on a paper claim.

^ Coupons for claims submitted using the "W" format on or after October 15, 1992, are to be attached to the R.O. as a permanent record.

^ R.O. and coupons received prior to October 15, will be forwarded and processed by our vendor. Credits for these claims will be issued on your Parts Statement referencing the credit note and detail report.

^ R.O. and coupons received after October 15, will be returned for submission utilizing the Warranty Processing "W" claim format.

^ After October you will no longer receive a separate credit statement and detail report containing Vehicle Maintenance Information for Safety Value.

^ Claims submitted after October 15, using the "W" claim format will have credit notification posted on your weekly Service Transaction Statement under the section titled "Maintenance Program Status."

Vehicles eligible for the "Safety Value" program will be identified via D.C.S. using Service Vehicle Inquiry.
