- The air receiver contains a desiccant whose purpose is to absorb any moisture present in the system. For this reason, air must not be allowed to enter the air receiver otherwise the moisture in the air will be absorbed. The air receiver must not remain unplugged for longer than a total of approx. 5 minutes. If the total time is longer, the unit must be replaced. If in doubt, replace the air receiver after 2-3 years of service.
