Overload of Fuse 25
In some markets, the following applies to 1991 and 1992 models:

Fuse No. 25 is a servicing fuse which can be removed if the customer prefers the lights extinguished. e.g. when driving In countries which do not require daytime lights.

When the light switch is In position 0 on 740/940 cars with disconnectable automatic low beam, in addition to low beam the parking lights and license plates lights are also lit via fuse 25.

If a trailer is hitched up to the car and the light switch is in position 0, the trailer's parking and license plate lights will also be fed via this fuse.

This will necessarily result in fuse 25 becoming overloaded and burning out.

For cars equipped with a towbar the following solution has been arrived at:
- The connector at position 2 of fuse 25 is exchanged for a new connector P/N 979002-3.
- The 15 A fuse is exchanged for one with a rating of 25 A. Repair Procedure for Fuse 25 Overload.
