Idle Speed

Air Valve Hose:

NOTE: Motronic 1.8 features adaptive idle control and should not require adjustment. Before attempting to adjust idle speed, ensure that throttle plate is clean and centered. Check for intake leaks.

ADJUSTMENT
1. Warm engine to operating temperature.
2. Clamp air valve hose as shown.
3. If engine speed exceeds 700 RPM, loosen throttle stop screw.
4. Adjust base idle to 600 RPM.
5. Tighten throttle stop screw.
