Solar Sensor: Description and Operation

- The ECC System includes five air temperature sensors and one solar sensor:
- Solar sensor (2).
- Duct temperature sensors, driver and passenger sides (3, 4).
- Interior temperature sensors, driver and passenger sides (5, 6).
- Outside temperature sensor (7).
- Two Interior temperature sensors and two duct temperature sensors are required for individual temperature control on the driver and passenger sides. The air temperature sensors are of the NTC type (the resistance falls as the temperature increases).
- The solar sensor, which is combined with the alarm diode, is a photodiode which generates a weak current when exposed to solar radiation.
- Each interior temperature sensor incorporates a fan which draws air through the device.
