Central Electronics Box Fan: Testing and Inspection

FAULT INDICATIONS
Cooling fan does not operate or operates continuously. Symptom is permanent (not intermittent).

FAULT TRACING CONDITIONS
Before fault tracing, ensure that:
^ No diagnostic trouble codes are present.
^ All fuses are clean and intact.

NO FAN OPERATION
^ Open in fan signal lead from ignition control module.
^ Open in fan power supply lead.
^ Faulty fan (motor).

CONTINUOUS FAN OPERATION
^ Check lead between Ignition Control Module A28 and fan connector terminal 1 for short circuit to ground.
