Ignition System

ACTIVATION
CONTROL FUNCTION 3 is activated by three brief operations of test button A with ignition "ON."

OPERATED COMPONENTS
The ECU activates the following components (in order):
1. Variable flow intake manifold (5 seconds at 2 Hz).
2. Cooling fan; half speed for 3 seconds, full speed for 3 seconds.
3. EGR valve (5 seconds at 2.5 Hz).
4. Engine speed signal (simulated) for 5 seconds. (This reads approximately 1500 RPM on tachometer.)

The procedure will repeat twice to confirm component operation.
