Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect spark plug wires for signs of arcing or burning.
2. Check resistance of wires using an ohmmeter. Resistance should be:

Cylinder # 1 4.5K ohms ± 20%
Cylinder # 2 4.0K ohms ± 20%
Cylinder # 3 3.3K ohms ± 20%
Cylinder # 4 2.9K ohms ± 20%
Cylinder # 5 2.3K ohms ± 20%

3. If resistance is not within specifications, replace spark plug wire set.
