Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

The procedure for replacing the power window winder motor is the same for both front and rear doors.

Removal:





- Work with door open.
- Remove door panel.
- Wind window up as far as it will go.
- Fix window with tape, run tape over door frame.
- Undo winder motor screws.
- Undo connector.

Installation:
- Connect connector to winder motor, fit it in place and put screws back in (torque setting 10 Nm/7.5 ft.lbf).
- Remove tape holding window.
- Check that winder motor is working, wind window right down then right back up again.
- Reinstall door panel in reverse order.
