Scan Tool Connecting

CAUTION:
- Remove fuse #24 before connecting or disconnecting the control unit or break-out box.

- Turn ignition switch "OFF" when connecting or disconnecting test instruments, ignition coil, or spark plug wiring.

Ignition Control Module:

ACCESSING CONTROL UNIT
1. Remove driver's side knee bolster.
2. Remove control unit from bracket.

CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING
1. Release connector catch.
2. Pull connector away from control unit, "wire" end first.

Breakout Box:

PERFORMING MEASUREMENTS
1. Use "breakout box" is available.
2. If breakout box is not available, remove connector cover and perform all measurements from side or back of connector.

CAUTION: Never probe connector from the socket side.
