EGR Valve: Service and Repair
EGR VALVE REPLACEMENT
Change Starter Motor
^ Remove starter motor and oil dipstick pipe.
Removal of EGR Valve
^ Slack off pipe connections to EGR valve.
^ Slack off EGR valve screws and remove valve and seal.
^ Remove EGR temperature sensor from old EGR valve. Carefully clean sensor.
Installation of EGR Valve
^ Fit EGR temperature sensor to new EGR valve.
^ Connect EGR valve to pipe.
^ Connect EGR valve to Intake manifold with a new gasket.
^ Tighten EGR valve pipe connector.
Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 ft lb).
Installation of Starter Motor
^ Fit starter motor and oil dipstick pipe.
