Checking Oil Level

The dipstick is accessible from the engine compartment using a long extension with a 1/2 inch socket drive. Socket drive engages top part of dipstick. Turn dipstick a quarter turn to free spring catch.
1. Park vehicle on level surface, then apply handbrake.
2. Run engine at idle speed with transmission in Park.
3. Move gear selector through all positions, pausing 5 seconds in each position.
4. Move gear selector back to Park and wait about 2 minutes before checking fluid level.
5. With engine at operating temperature, fluid level should be between Hot marks.
