Selector Gate, Replacement

Replacement of sunroof selector gate(s)

Removal of cover panel

Note!
The sunroof must be completely closed and the shade pushed all the way back.





Carefully, remove the cover panels on both sides as per illustration.

Removal of sunroof





Remove the (4) retaining screws for the sunroof.

Carefully, lift up the sunroof and remove from vehicle.

Removal of rear drain gutter





Remove (2 x Torx 25) screws for the rear drain gutter.

Lift out the rear drain gutter.

Replacement of selector gate(s)

Note!
Observe that all parts except the sunroof selector gates will be reused





Remove:

- lock clips (1),
- pins (2).

Remove:

- the wire lock (3) for tension spring (4),
- dow pin (5),
- selector gate(6).

Install the new selector gate.

Perform the same operation on both sides.

Re-installation of components

Re-install removed components in reverse order.

Adjust the sunroof as per Service Manual TP 820221, Body Fitting exterior or VADIS.
