Activating Components/Functions

Activate Volvo Scan Tool (ST), or equivalent, components/functions by pressing the YES/NO button to start and stop activation

Use a stethoscope to listen for solenoid clicks.

On cars with turbochargers (TC)
When activating function 7 and 9, no change/symptom is indicated for the engine, transmission or combined instrument.
To check these functions proceed as follows before activation is initiated:
- Ignition OFF
- Connect the Test box
- Connect a voltmeter to the terminals as above.
- Check the voltmeter reading when function is activated.
