Method A, All Markets



REPLACING THE ENGINE COOLANT THERMOSTAT, AND INSTALLING A SPLASH GUARD

NOTE: On 1994 850 Turbo, be certain that recall QI 25-16 (69 in USA/CDN) has been completed.






Parts Required:
- Thermostat (90 degrees Celsius) 271664-5
- Splash guard 9179099-8
- Screw (splash guard) 979190-6
- Air inlet (turbo only) 1397877-0

Replace Thermostat
A1 Replace:
- Coolant thermostat by a new version, which opens at 90 degrees Celsius (194 °F).





Install Splash Guard
A2 Install:
- Splash guard, use the existing hole in the front section.

Turbo engines only
Replace:
- The existing air-inlet (two pieces) by a non-turbo air inlet.
