Cruise Control: Service Precautions

Turn off ignition during:
Connection and disconnection of test instruments.
Connection and disconnection of connectors.
Measurements with ohmmeter.


Control Modules






Control modules must not be heated above 80 °C (176 °F). Remove control modules during baking of paint, for example.

Remove control module during arc welding.
Do not replace control module without testing cables and components. Otherwise, a fault may damage the new module in the same way as the old one.


Battery










When testing the components, it is important that the battery voltage be normal (about 12 volts).

Maximum allowable charge power:

15 amperes at 16 volts.
Do not remove cables while engine is running.
Remove battery cables during quick charging.
Do not use booster charge or power higher than 16 volts to jump start.


High Voltage






WARNING! The ignition system operates at high voltage. It is dangerous to come into contact with a high.voltage circuit.


This voltage level is dangerous and is present in the entire ignition system, even at the connectors
