Activating deadlocking function




- Ignition on.




- Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors.

All doors should be deadlocked.

OK - Verification

Not OK - Checking connectors

Checking connectors




- Check VGLA control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
- Ignition on.




- Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors.
Check that all doors are deadlocked.
If the function has worked the cause of the fault has been loose connections in the connectors.

Are all doors deadlocked?

Yes - Verification

No - Checking cables

- Ignition off.
- Remove door panel from the relevant door.
Check circuit for the relevant door as follows:
For the left front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A2 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 4 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. For the right front and rear doors: check the cable between VGLA control module #A15 and the relevant gray lock unit connector terminal 1 for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check gray lock unit connector for the relevant door for oxidation and contact resistance according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After verification it is important to check that the fault is corrected as follows:




- Ignition off.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Ignition on.




- Use the Activation function to deadlock the doors.

All doors should be deadlocked.
