- Ignition off.
TRACS warning light should be off.





Is the warning light off ?

Yes - Check the instrument panel circuit

No - Check for short-circuits

Check the cable between control module #15 and instrument panel A29 for short-circuiting to power Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.









Select Continue when the fault has been repaired.

Check the instrument panel circuit




- Ignition on.
- Disconnect the TRACS switch.





Id the warning light lit ?

Yes - Check for short-circuiting and replace the component

No - Replacement of a component

Check for short-circuiting and replace the component
Check the cable between control module #15 and the instrument panel for short-circuiting to ground as per Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If the cable is OK, test with a new instrument panel.









Select Continue when the fault has been repaired.

Hint: After repair, it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.




- Ignition off.
- Reconnect the connections, components etc.
- Ignition on.
When the ignition is switched on, the control module activates the TRACS warning light. Check that the warning light goes off after approx. 2 seconds.

Note! The warning light will not go out if the TRACS system is disabled by the TRACS switch or if a fault is registered in the control module





Does the warning light go out shortly after it is activated ?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Fault-tracing information
