K. Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) 4, Transfer Rate

DTM 4 is used to change the data transfer rate between the control module and the data link connector (DLC). This is most useful if the diagnostics are performed with a Scan Tool, but the double speed can be used by someone familiar with the OBD.

Manual entering of settings
Turn on ignition.
Connect cruise control OBD.
Press push button quickly and distinctly four times. DTM 4 is now engaged.
When the LED is constantly lit, the system is ready to accept input codes.
Enter first number while LED is lit.
Wait to enter second number until LED is constantly on again.
Enter the third number in the same manner.
Await response from control module in the form of quick flashes of the LED.
