-------------------------------------------------

Checking the brake valve

- Ignition off.
- Brake valve disconnected.
- Connect selector switch.
- Selector switch in OFF position.

- Connect an ohmmeter between both brake valve connecting pins.

The ohmmeter should read approx. 0 ohms with the brake pedal up and infinite resistance with the pedal depressed more than 8 mm.

OK - Fault-tracing information

Not OK - Brake valve adjustment

-------------------------------------------------

Fault-tracing information
- The clutch valve is only fitted to cars with a manual transmission so the transmission type must be entered to continue testing.

Does the car have a manual transmission?

Yes - Checking power supply to clutch valve

No - No Fault Found

-------------------------------------------------

Brake valve adjustment

- Ignition off.
- Brake valve disconnected.
- Press pedal so that it is not in contact with the valve.
- Pull piston out as far as possible and release pedal slowly.

- Connect an ohmmeter between both brake valve connecting pins.

The ohmmeter should read approx. 0 ohms with the brake pedal up and infinite resistance with the pedal depressed more than 8 mm.

OK - Verification

Not OK - Replacing component

-------------------------------------------------

Replacing component

- Ignition off.
- Try a new brake valve according to Replacing brake and clutch valves Service and Repair.

Continue - Verification

-------------------------------------------------

Checking power supply to clutch valve

- Ignition off.
- Disconnect clutch valve.
- Ignition on.
- Selector switch in OFF position.

- Connect a voltmeter between clutch valve connector terminal 2 and ground.

The voltmeter should read approx. 0 V.

OK - Checking cable between brake valve and clutch valve

Not OK - Checking for a short-circuit

-------------------------------------------------

Checking for a short-circuit

- Ignition off.
