Response Code 1-1-4 is stored when safety disengagement occurs. Safety disengagement does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with the cruise control system. They occur if there are abnormal speed changes and cruise control should not be engaged. Abnormal speed changes are:
- rapid acceleration (wheel spin).
- rapid deceleration (locking of wheels after wheel spin)
- wheel speed is less than 75% of the set speed - when driving up steep hills for example, when the engine cannot maintain vehicle speed.

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control disengages while the car is being driven.
- Speedometer reading faulty.
