Checking the clutch driven plate
Check the clutch driven plate as follows.
- Test drive the car. Check that the clutch is transferring torque
- Check that the clutch pedal returns correctly.
If the clutch driven plate is defective replace it.
If the customer has overheated the clutch once or twice tell the customer about the correct operation of the clutch. The clutch driven plate can be overheated several times.
