Signal Too High




WARNING: In cars with AWD, lift up the car so that all wheels are hanging free.

EB1 Status Check:




- Gear selector in neutral.
- Lift up the front suspension so that both front wheels are hanging free.
- Turn ignition on.
- Go into scrolling values.





- Spin the front wheel so that speed exceeds 2 km/h (1.2 mph) for at least 2 seconds while reading off the status of the 48 pulse vehicle speed signal. Is the status OK displayed?

Yes: EB4
No: EB2

EB2 Checking for a Short-Circuit to Supply Voltage:





On cars with ECC: Check cable between combined instrument panel # A6 and ECC control module # C1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to ZA4. Permanent Faults Then continue with EB3.

EB3 Verification:





After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Gear selector in neutral.
- Lift up the front suspension so that both front wheels are hanging free.
- Ignition on.
- Go into scrolling values.





- Spin the front wheel so that speed exceeds 2 km/h (1.2 mph) for at least 2 seconds while reading off the status of the 48 pulse vehicle speed signal. Is the status OK displayed?

Yes: Fault corrected
No: Fault not found

EB4 Faulty Signal, Intermittent Fault:





On cars with ECC: Check cable between combined instrument panel # A6 and ECC control module # C1 for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to ZB4. Intermittent Faults
