CHECKING THE SPARK PLUGS





Condition

- Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) absent.
- Engine at normal operating temperature.

Possible Source

- Defective or damaged spark plugs.





Checking the Spark Plugs

- Ignition OFF.
- Replace all spark plugs.
- Check the spark gap of new plugs before they are installed.

The gap should be 0.7 - 0.8 mm.

NOTE!: It is vital that the correct spark plugs are used, see specifications for correct application.

- Reconnect all ignition cables.
- Then Proceed to Checking Compression and Fuel Pressure section.
