Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Start the blower fan or let the engine idle.
- Read off the damper motor position sensor.
- Select and de-select the REC function using the buttons on the control panel. Allow damper motor to go the limit position between selection/de-selection.

Check that position sensor value changes when the REC function is engaged/disengaged. The value should read 100% when the REC function is selected. If value changes this indicates that damper motor is OK.
