Signal Too High - Checking The Wiring

Checking The Wiring

Check the connectors for the resistive wire and control module. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the following cables for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to supply voltage between:
- control module terminal #A5 and resistive wire terminal #1 in the left rear side window
- resistive wire terminal #2 in the left rear side window and resistive wire terminal #1 in the right rear side window
- glass wire terminal #2 in the right rear side window and terminal #1 on the rear windshield
- rear windshield terminal #2 and ground.

Hint: The resistance in the circuit from control module terminal #5 to ground must be < 40 [ohm] if the circuit is free of faults.
