Checking Connector And Wire
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the Control unit.
- Check the control unit connector for contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between control unit #25 and ground and check for an open circuit, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.
The voltage should be approximately 7 V.
If the value deviates from this, disconnect the B connector from the combined instrument and check #B3 for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.
Check the wire between combined instrument #B3 and control unit #25 for an open circuit, as described in Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.
