Checking The Transmission Control Module (TCM) And Transmission Version







NOTE: It is essential that the control module software and the transmission are matched with the engine type. The control module version depends on the software version that is programmed.

- Ignition on
- Read off the part number (P/N) of the control module (software)
- Read off the transmission P/N.

Compare the software and transmission P/Ns with the engine specifications. Check that these correspond. If the control module or software does not correspond, replace with the correct version.

Select one of the following options:
1. The P/N corresponds, continue fault-tracing
2. The transmission P/N does not correspond
3. The software P/N does not correspond.
