3. Fault-tracing VGLA diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)






If communication with the VGLA control module cannot be established, Have diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) been stored?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Go to 6.

4. DTC Table
Remedy diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) according to instructions and then erase them.
Lock the car with the remote control if it has an alarm system. If not, lock it with the key.
Unlock the car with the remote control if it has an alarm system. If not, unlock it with the key.
Have one or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) been stored again?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Go to 5.


5. No Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Stored
Do the fault symptoms persist?
Yes: Go to 6.
No: Go to 8.


6. Table of Symptoms
Select the appropriate fault symptoms and follow the relevant instructions.
Remedy diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) according to instructions and then erase them.
Lock the car with the remote control if it has an alarm system. If not lock it with the key.
Unlock the car with the remote control if it has an alarm system. If not, unlock it with the key.
Are the fault symptoms still present?
Yes: Go to 7.
No: Go to 8.


7. Parameter Tables






Measure the signals across all the control module terminals, then continue with Final Checks.

8. Final Check






Reinstall all components after fault-tracing/repairing the car.
Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored in other systems during fault-tracing.
Erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) before the car is returned to the customer. Then continue with fault corrected.
