Engine washing
A new clear coat protection is applied to the engine compartment. This material resists picking up dirt and debris, and greatly enhances the appearance of the engine compartment. Usually, high pressure washing of the engine compartment is not required. If it does become necessary, please observe the following:
Caution: Avoid directing the spray nozzle at the distributor and the point where the ignition leads enter the cover at the left- hand side of the engine compartment. After washing, blow out water which may have collected in the spark plug wells under the cover. On EGR- equipped cars, cover the EGR vacuum controller with a plastic bag before washing or avoid direct contact from the high-pressure stream.
