Check the relevant wheel sensor and ABS control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the connectors and wiring insulation for damage.
Check that the wheel sensor cables are not too close to sources of interference.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
- Check that the ABS warning lamp comes on and goes out after approximately 2 seconds. If the lamp does not go out, the fault is still present.
- Test-drive the car as described in Test Drive Form (ABS), description Test Drive Form (ABS), Description.
Check the ABS warning lamp during the test-drive. If the warning lamp comes on, return to the workshop and read off the diagnostic trouble codes.

Check the connectors of the ABS control unit and the relevant wheel sensor for contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check connectors and wiring insulation for damage.
Check that the wheel sensor wires are not in close proximity to any source of interference.
Do the necessary corrective action.
