Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0006 is stored if the keypad unit/car-phone module registers that there is a short-circuit to ground in the signal to the handset microphone.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the handset microphone signal between the car-phone box and the keypad unit/car-phone module.

Fault symptom[s]
- Handset does not function.
- Combined instrument panel message that the handset is not functioning.
