Checking wiring and components
Check cable between car-phone box #C8 and keypad unit/car-phone module #B8 for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Switch on the car-phone.
Make a call so that both the handset and the hands-free system are used, see the instruction manual.

Check that the relevant diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has switched status from permanent to intermittent fault.
