Condition







- engine speed (RPM) 1,500 - 2,500 rpm
- throttle opening 7 - 30 degrees (however no large changes with the accelerator pedal (AP))
- speed 50-110 km/h engine coolant temperature (ECT) between 80-110 degrees C.

The desired value for mass air data is drawn from a table. It is applied with the actual atmospheric pressure and inlet intake air temperature (IAT).
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-130A is stored if the control module registers that the difference compared to the actual mass air is too great for approximately 5 seconds.

Substitute value
A calculated value from the pressure sensor for the intake manifold and engine speed (RPM) is used.

Possible source
Faulty signal
- Faulty mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Contact resistance in the connectors.
- Defective fresh air intake hose.
